Dynamic Radius queue problem in 3.25

Fri Jun 26, 2009 8:58 pm

We just upgraded our main PPPoE server last night from 3.22 to 3.25. We set speeds through Radius, and it normally dynamically sets up a queue. This is happening, but when I open the queue, it doesn't appear that it is catching any traffic. The statistics stay blank. Can anyone confirm that Dynamic queues are running for them under 3.25? I just confirmed that it is definitely not applying the queue rules to the interface.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

i just did a fresh PPPoE setup on 3.25, with RADIUS / Freeradius+MySQL backend.

The queues get applied and are applied. What are you using to set the queue ? Ascend or Mikrotik Rate limit ?

If you are referring to the "Total Bytes" counters etc., that's normal since about 3.13. It only works for "ethernet-default" type queues since then.

sadly i was talking about the Queued Bytes as in nothing get's in a Que.
stat's not updating i could live with, but if i set a que to a really low speed and still can download @ fullspeed it is failing.

Marlow:

We're using Freeradius, flat file. We're using Mikrotik rate limit. The queues get created, but they never show any traffic, and the users can still download at full rate. Have you verified that your queues are actually catching traffic?

We do have Routing-Test and MPLS installed for some future MPLS work we were planning.

Thanks

Dan

Just confirmed it's not routing-test or MPLS. Disabled those packages, and still having the same problem.

Same here! Updated to 3.25 from 3.22...
When I try checking "traffic" only UPLOADING is registered, while downloads are empty.
On pppoe I can see user downloading very beyond queue limit. If I create another queue "by hand", typing "Target Address" works perfectly.
