Hi,

I'm trying to implement a prepaid voucher solution using mikrotik and radius manager 3 but i can not get the prepaid vouchers to work.

- When connecting a computer I get a ip-address and gets redirected to the mikrotik login page.
- I can use a username and password definied in the radiusmanager to login and get a definied service.
- But i can not use a prepaid voucher number generated from radiusmanager, the logs in mikrotik generates: username och password invalid.
- If i however use radiusmanagers own user.php page to enter the voucher it works. voucher number as the username and leaving password blank.

I not sure if its mikrotik sends the voucher number if there is no password entered.

Does anyone stumbled on this before and/or got a solution for this problem?

Hi Thomas,

It sounds like the Mikrotik is not looking to Radius manager 3 for authentication. Do you have the address of Radius Manager 3 programmed in to the Mikrotik?

It almost sounds like the Mikrotik is still looking to User manager for authentication, when it should be looking at Radius Manager. If the vouchers were generated in Radius manager, then User manager would know nothing about that and would return the error that the username/password were invalid.

Try programming the Mikrotik to look at Radius Manager for authentication. Sounds to me like it isn't set up to do that yet.

Could we have some more details on whether you are running HotSpot, etc.? That would really help in making a better recommendation.

So, it works with regulary user account but not with the voucher.

I got no accounts in mikrotik, and i can see in the debug logg for the radius and hotspot that the user is verified against the radius manager. But when using voucher it does not verify with the radius manager.

What gives?

I solved it kind of, since i only plan to use vouchers i remote chap login function just passing uncrypted number and the radius manager verified it.
