The Dude 3.4 Bug?

Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:26 am

Hey .. I'm running The Dude 3.4 monitoring close to about 150 devices.

I've hit little bugs here & there, but as a whole a great product.

Recently I've hit a strange issue. Whenever you right click a device -> tools -> Winbox - Winbox loads but all the information is 'cached' and it doesn't update and eventually disconnects.

If I login with another computer, it works great.

I look at the devices "Active Users" and there were over 100 users connecting from The Dude and it keeps growing.

If I reboot the devices having this problem it removes all active users but the problem still exists and within no time the active users list is huge again.

Some devices work, some don't. So far the devices that are having his problem are running 3.23. 3.28 seems to be working fine.

Any suggestions as to why this would suddenly happen, and how one could rectify this issue?

Thanks for you help

[Solved] Re: The Dude 3.4 Bug?

Okay, so after see this system was opening hundreds of sessions and filling up the Memory on these devices, I found it was doing A-Symetric routing on a apart of the network.

However, why does the Mikrotik's not timeout the sessions? Is there a way to limit the number of sessions per user?

Anyways, problem solved. No Dude Bug
