Startup WISP - Help with initial config of RB750

Wed Sep 16, 2009 7:48 am

Hello guys, I'm new to mikrotic product so i need help about configuring RB750, I need help to combine 6 ISP & 3 dual wan dlink router and RB750.

Dual wan Link Router.
internet(1,2)----> dlink1
internet(3,4)----> dlink2 ------>RB750 ------>APs
internet(5,6)----> dlink3

I can't find affordable router that can bond 6 or 8 ISP so i will start Dlink lb-604 as starting WISP.

I plan to start 6 Mbps for culasi, calayuan, calintaan and bon-ot but as starting we have 15-20 sure users in this area.

Thank you very much
Alex

You may look for the Big 5 Load balancer...

RouterOS can't combine links to achieve 4x the original speed, but it can do load balancing and policy routing. RouterOS supports bonding only if at both ends of the link there are mikrotik routers

I want to know if is it possible to install Mikrotik on a Virtual Private Server (in a datacenter) and then bond both links between my RB450G and the mikrotik virtualized?

Do you understand my idea?
Thanks

My setup would be:

Thanks in advance.

after some consideration and presentation of technicals staff from reseller of qno product in the philippines, I will use their Load Balancer appliances with 4 WAN port, This load balancer has a fantastic features, you can make fail over or load balancing or use your 3 ISP at the same time.

some feature:

multi subnet
virtual protocol
Protocol Binding
WAN Transparent Bridge Mode

take note: this load balancer does not bond ISP / dsl connection.

My backbone is 4 ISP with 1 Mbps each. once my network is complete, i have 10 customer in culasi and 10 customer in calintaan and culayuan and 10 in bon-ot big. how many user can share this connection?
