problem on RB500: aes handshake with rc10

Sat Aug 20, 2005 11:57 am

Hello ,

i had a rb500 with rc7 running. The wireless interface had aes encryption enabled and the clients too (clients: wpa-supplicant).
Worked fine until upgrade of the rb500 from rc7 to rc10. the wpa-supplicant works fine with aes on together with other aps supporting wpa/aes.
Since I upgraded to c10 the rb500 reports a group key update timeout (16) … (see att. Pic)
I generated a supou.rif (attached)
For now I changed the enc. to tkip … this works for now.
Can you help me with this error ? i´d like to use aes for encryption.

Regards
jochen

Yes, I have exact the same problem after upgrating from RC7 to RC10.

All my clients used WPA-PSK with AES encryption. After upgrade to RC10, no client is able to register by using WPA-AES encryption. TKIP instead still works.

My clients are Windows-XP SP1/2 machines and Linux-machines using WPA-Supplicant. With RC7, aes worked fine.

Changelog of RC9 says: *) fixed bug - AES group key handshake failed

Really fixed? Before fixing, I had no problems ;) Perhaps, a second fix is necessary ;)
