If I have an ECMP route with two gateways and check gateway set to arp what happens when one of the gateways fail? Does the route just use one availabe gateway or does MT fall back to the default route?

We just started playing with this and I was trying to find an answer on check-gateway ... I believe we determined if one gateway disappears because its ARP is no longer present it does remove it from use. I am not sure 100% but it seems that way. I don't know if PING is going to be a problem - I dont dare until I test it more.
