PPPoE Speed Change

Tue Sep 06, 2005 9:50 pm

I am trying to set up the mikrotik so that it sets up PPPoE connections with our clients. I have this all figured out. What I need it to do is, everyday at 5:00 am and 5:00 pm, change the speed of the queues that the customers are on. The problem I am running into is that not all of our clients get the speed change so I can't use the speed to figure out which queues to change.

Is there a way to get radius to change the speeds of queues without disconnecting all of our customers and making them have to reconnect?

Or is there a way I can get radius to send an attribute that will allow me to identify each queue so I can write a script that can change the speeds only on the queues that have this attribute?

Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

If you need more info I will be glad to write up a better description.

Thanks

One way would be to change the Queue Type. Is there a radius attribute to set the Queue type?
