SR71-15 40mhz??

Fri Feb 05, 2010 8:36 pm

Can the SR71-15 do turbo(40mhz) mode in the ROS? I know it's capable but I don't get the option available in any of my rb433ah boards.

TIAV :-)

802.11n changed how it deals with a 40MHz wide channel. You want to look at the ht-extension-channel feature. That adds the 2nd 20MHz channel. Here's a link to that part of the 802.11n setup guide in the wiki:

Thanks. I did try that in an earlier version of ros but could not establish a connection when it was enabled. Must try again now. By the way I take it that would that explain why Ive never seen a link rate above 130 mbps even with perfect signals?

Hello,

Is it possible to achieve more than 54mbits with 1 antenna and 1 polarity on each side. I mean I want to enable HT-extension but at the moment outside is snowing and i can't mount another antennas on the roof. Is it going to raise my speeds.

At the moment i use :
2x RB433AH with 2xR52H Radios on 5ghz-turbo.

Distance is 5km with Clear line of sight and the throughput is around 30mbits (total).
I wonder if i use HT-extension with the 2 R52N cards that i have...can i reach higher throughput than these 30mbits.

I noticed that the R52N doesn't have the original TURBO mode and before i try to change the cards i decided to ask you for your opinion.
Thanks in advance.
