Online speed (bandwidth usage) monitoring

Sun Jan 31, 2010 5:14 pm

Hello,

I've created map of my network and I'd like to see usage of links online on the map. I can see it for specific routerboard's interfaces when I've got its settings window open. But when all settings windows are closed, the actual bandwidth usage is not updated at all. Is there some way to show the actual bandwitch usage on all links on the map?

Thanks for help and thanks to Dude Team for this outstanding product!!

I upgraded to 3.5 now and it's not updating again. All links show 0bps until I open settings of its Mikrotik device. When I close it, the update stops again.

Isn't there some setting to let it update automaticaly all the time?

Which mastering type is used for monitoring on your Dude?
simple, SNMP, routeros?

I use RouterOS. I tried to switch to SNMP now and it works with it. So I can use SNMP. Is there any advantage of using RouterOS instead of SNMP or vice-versa?

I think routerOs is faster.
This is old bug with routeros mastering. I think that mikrotik puts about 1% of time on developing dude. So stick with snmp, like we all did.

Yes, I can confirm that 3.5 Dude does not update too often the traffic, when mastering type is selected as RouterOS. We will see what we can do.
