V2.9 Hotspot and Regular Clients configuration

Tue Sep 27, 2005 12:06 pm

I have upgraded My OS to v2.9 and setting hotspot, all my regular clients now can not surf the internet (they see the hotspot log in page) What do I do?

Its just a few clients that I want to put on hotspot and not all.

 :?:

You can try adding the IP's you don't want to use hotspot into the 'ip-binding' menu with type=bypassed. It's what mikrotik support told me to do, and it mostly worked.. just having a few strange problems with pings not picking up until packet 8.. always packet 8. No idea why.. after that they seem to ping fine.

Make sure you have added each user to the hotspot B4 they can log into hotspot and surf the net. Add the username and password. Or in 2.9 you can use ip binding that will not ask for a username or password. It will log them in automatically.

If that does not work can you explain a little bit about your network setup.
