[ask] cannot resolve hostname with 450G

Sat Mar 27, 2010 10:42 am

Dear All,

I have a problem with my RB450g , ie can not ping the hostname with the following error:

[admin@ge-01.xxx.net] > ping www.yahoo.com
invalid value for argument address

but the client can ping the hostname

note:
ip dns 202.129.189.59
ip dns 202.129.189.61
I also tried google dns 8.8.8.8 but still the same result

regards
saktie

If you use the CLI, use this at a prompt:
:put [:resolve www.yahoo.com]

You should get an ip address.
What version RouterOS are you using?
