What I'm experiencing right now is that a client will do an initial scan, find the best AP, and connect to it. This is great, but it seems that it will hold onto this connection until it drops (when roaming). Only after dropping will it do another scan, even if the client has roamed to another area with much better signal strength from another AP.

Is there a way to make the client connect to the other AP in some better way? I'm thinking of something like "scan for new AP's, even while connected to one, and if I find one with 10db better strength than I have now, then connect to it. Scan every X seconds". Something like that? Some different solution?
