Hi to all!

I downloaded RouterOS 5 beta1. For some reason I use Sun VirtualBox to test RouterOS itself and create another virtual machines as client computers. On version 4.6 it works well. But v.5 can't be installed from .iso in virtual machine, don't know why. I installed it successfully only via netinstall but system halt on boot time. You can fix it: go to Settings->System->Processor and disable checkbox named "Enable PAE/NX"; after that RouterOS v5 started.

I was considering to buy licence for 4.6 and we got v.5 now. Can someone give me advice: what version better use nowdays?

V5 is a beta and not to be used in production environment. If i look in to the history RouterOS is in beta for approximately 1 year befor going to stable releas. If you buy a license now you are able to upgrade to V5 later without paying for the upgrade.

Excuse me, leoktv, did you mean license level 4 for v.4.6 can be upgradable to v.5? I asked because recently read this page:
