two networks and one dmz

Tue Oct 11, 2005 8:44 pm

Hi,

i need little help:
we have two connections to internet (different providers, 194.223.x.x and 82.193.x.x), and DMZ, where is deployed windows 2003 server (10.9.1.x). Is any way, to use the same services on server from both providers ? (on IP1 from 1st provider and IP2 2nd provider)

Thx a lot for any ideas....

Pavel

You could try using a different IP range for the DMZ from one of the routers. Give the server an additional IP address in this new range. DST-NAT from each router points to a different server IP.

Outbound routing could be a problem. I'd look at using one of the routers as a default gateway for the server, then, some sort of policy route on that router to redirect traffic based on source IP to the other router.

Hope this makes some sort of sense.

Regards

I dont understand your question. Are you trying to "load balance" with the 2 connections? exmaple :plug internet connection 1 into ether1 and plug internet connection into ether2 and plug ether3 into your network switch.
add 2 default routes (one for each inet connection) put a check in the "ping gateway" box and mikrotik will "round robin" the inter traffic.
OH yea, you need to use 2.9 for this. Hope this helps
