Routing help...

Wed May 26, 2010 4:55 am

I have routeros 4.9 on an x86 pc. I have successfully setup the hotspot and userman to accept paypal payments and new user profiles. I have a problem when it comes to routing. I have four network interfaces on the pc. NIC 1 is local, NIC 2 is local/public, NIC 3 is local, and NIC 4 is public. NIC 1 & 3 are for hotspot clients. NIC 2 is local but is routed to a balancing switch which does nat to a public ip address, and NIC 4 is strictly a public ip. Under ip routes, currently, there is an entry of 0.0.0.0/0 with gateway set to public ip address of NIC 4. How can I set NIC 1 & 3 to route through NIC 2, and keep public Userman access for Paypal on NIC 4? If I change the entry to 0.0.0.0/0 with gateway of NIC 2, clients can still access the hotspot, usermanger, and internet but paypal can not find the public address of the server.

Thanks.

Set up mangle rules to mark routing for packets coming from eth1 and 3. Then add another default route with gateway eth2 and routing mark.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
