SSH Root access to RouterBoard

Sat Jul 03, 2010 10:34 pm

Hello

I'm new with Mikrotik.
I have to add couple of web pages (html, php) into routerboard to serve a small web application. but I need the root password to copy the files, and try if it works or not. I have RB433AH.

anyone knows what is the default root password on routerboard? also I tried to do this on a metarouter, but still I dont have root access to metarouter.

any idea?
Thanks
Reza

Only way is thru-arse - you boot some small kernel similar like the netinstall is done, then upload the files.
Anyway not ment to be like that, at least not on routerboards. Easier would be on a x86 platform with detachable CF or HDD.
You can run a small website with none or external SQL on FreeNAS (a nice FileServer with lighthttpd and transmission)
