battling with limewire :))

heloo people

all p2p block except limewire how can we block this? i doubt that this limewire using encrypted p2p data, it is possible to block in web-proxy? can anyone give some tips :)

I think Butch's script catches Limewire from the number of open connections.

should be easy for someone to recommend something like that or go to www.butchevans.com

I'll take that back: just tested it and it does not pick up Limewire but it does pick up Vuze right away.

I'll take that back: just tested it and it does not pick up Limewire but it does pick up Vuze right away.

Apparently it uses TCP ports 6346-6347, but maybe that was true in old versions. The best thing to do, is to allow only known ports and protocols, and block everything else.
