SNMP Error when a lot of devices

Wed Jul 07, 2010 12:44 am

Hello!
I recently install the Dude3.6 for monitoring my network.(on RouterOS)
Network has more than 7k active devices, which monitoring via ICMP,SNMP,SysLog.

When count of devices in Dude was more then 300-400 - Dude was start a strangely.
Devices and links, which all time check all SNMP parameters and send to hints, labels, etc... has stopped getting SNMP parameters, and said about "timeout" when i try snmpwalk from server to devices. While the earlier that devices get parameters are correct. On my workstation snmpwalk passes without problems.
BTW Dude plugged in network 192.168.200.0/24 also my workstation plugged in this network and NAT on same ext interface.
When i look dump and snmp statistic on Juniper ex4200 requests and answer from and to Dude server are passed (Dude said that no). All rules and ACLs are correct.

I really need snmp for fast determine of type of devices, their parameters and creating correctly schemes by physical interfaces, vlans and networks. Whithout thats features...not serious solution.

HMP!
