Linking The Dude to assets in an ESRI ArcGIS geodatabase

Sat Aug 28, 2010 6:30 am

Folks,

I have my mind set on figuring out a way to link objects on a DUDE map with somekind of grographical correlation, to our tower assets in our ARCGIS server geodatabase.

What are the options to do this with The Dude ?

What are ways to create geographical bindings between devices ? Is there a way to store a GPS coordinate inside a The Dude object going dark and through the alert, get ARCGIS Server to pick this up and display its state ?

Dude has Custom Fields that you could use for coordinates. They can then be displayed in labels and used in functions

Can you use functions to programatically populate those fields in a batch mode - say to import tower sites and locations ?
