Problem bounding IP address

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:20 pm

I have hotspot setup with dhcp which is working fine. But I have a problem where when I assign an IP address to a mac address manually in dhcp leases it says waiting even with the unit turn on. Instead of saying bounded. What am I doing wrong or where do I place the static address for it to say bounded?

THX in advance

Maybe you use Ovislink WL1120AP for your clients. That is the same issue I have with this device runing in client mode. I guess it is about MAC masking this device does, meaning, your device cannot get DHCP responce from MT because responce is sent to wireless client device's MC not client's LAN MAC.

None here could help me to solve this problem. Strange thing is that if I repalce MT with other router, sttic DHCP leases work fine.
