v4.11 - Looking for a Sit Rep on the wireless preformance

Sat Aug 21, 2010 1:23 am

Hey All,
Is this version handling wireless connections as good as 3.28 and 3.30?
All the other v4.x series had issues with too much sensitivity and dropping connections.
Are there any issue like this in v4.11?
Thank you,
Rod

No, i'm still getting disconnects in any version of 4.x.

But I do have one link that I left on 3.28 and it has been connected for just over 233 days.

I was afraid of that.
I have tried every version and have major issues with disconnects except v3.28 and 3.30.
I would really love to move to v4.11 or v5.x when it moves out of beta but am very worried.
Had same problem about 4 years ago.
Thank you,
Rod

Change "hw retires" to a higher number.

Doesn't make a difference - and it shouldn't - firmware upgrades should enhance current ops - not force config changes.

I have the same disconnects even with 3.30, 3.28, 3.25. Only one stable link - RoS 3.25 and 3.22. And I have noticed that decreasing of maximum size of frame limit improves link reliability.

Just bumping this - need to know if things have improved at all on wireless side.
Thank you,
