good 2.2ghz mini-pici card?

Wed Sep 22, 2010 8:03 pm

anyone knows a good card to work on 2.2GHZ? I live in Nicaragua and i have licence for this frecuency, but the r52xx or any card in 2GHZ have not the same power in 2.2 Ghz and 2.4Ghz, usually in the 2.2Ghz have less power. thanks.

Can you provide the exact frequencies you will need? Have you looked into the custom frequency license in MTik? Have not verified on the 2Ghz cards, but I know that the custom frequency license opens up a lot more available channels in the Ubiquiti cards when I utilize the license.

I can use the frecuency from 2227Mhz to 2257Mhz, I use the rb411ah whit ROS. 4.11 level 4. in superchannel mode the frecuency is present, but the power is very low in comparison to 2.4Ghz power, and i have the licence for 2.3Ghz too and the power is low in this frecuency too.
For 2.3Ghz i use a ubiquiti xr2 modified by the manufacturer, they only change a litle filter whith 2452 label by other whith 2352 label. This mini-pci found it a netkrom radio, but i don know where to buy.

The 2.4Ghz cards you can buy are quite heavily targetted at the legal channels.

Performance starts to roll off sharply below 2400 Mhz, so if you have lower power available on 2.3Ghz, you really need to find a specialist manufacturer of equipment for that frequency.

Having said that, the 'normal' frequency equipment is significantly cheaper.

So, even if you have a licence for 2.3Ghz, you might find you make more money using 2.4 and 5Ghz, and have an easier time becasue you can buy many different types of equipment.

of course, look at the datasheets of those cards, peak power is in the centre usually. and the antennas too are not optimized for 2.2Ghz

I'll have to find a specialized manufacturer, because the r52h I have not seen this filter can be changed.

Hi mgutz2!
Could you advice me any solution for 2.2-2.2xx GHz? Is it possible for xr2 card? 200mW is enough for me.

Hello!
Does the R52nM card support 2.2-2.3 GHz by a super channel license?
Thank you in advance!

the xr2-2.3 work good on 2.2ghz the power is reducted to 50% about 200mW in 2.2ghz.
