so this is option B for resetting rb750g as well? cus i have a problem of not able to access the rb when i upgraded from 4.16 to 4.17. I was advice to reinstall with NetInstall.open the white case, inside on the PCB there is a reset-hole. put a screwdriver into it, so that both sides of the hole are shorted. then reboot while holding screwdriver in place.
Koolyes option B, because normally the frontal reset button works fine. Netinstall is also an option, but Netinstall is anyway started by the frontal reset button. Netinstall is only required if the software is corrupted. Usually a simple reset is enough.
normis, I tried to reset the rb750 as you instructed above, but i could not find the reset-hole, but saw a jumper with 2 pins... can you show me the right place to reset (rb750 board picture). that will help me know exact place to reset.open the white case, inside on the PCB there is a reset-hole. put a screwdriver into it, so that both sides of the hole are shorted. then reboot while holding screwdriver in place.
Okay, I will try that when i get home...
the hole is on the top-right side in this picture, right above the Hynix chip, to the left of the mounting hole.

Normis, I still could not fix the problem on my rb750g, now that i got this option using the reset jumper. i will go and try if it will work.you don't need to solder anything, the circled hole is the correct one, and it always works. see this:
