Hello all
am trying to stop broadcasting for my clients by putting each client on VLAN Separately
to prevent them from MAC CLONING
and now am looking for the right way to create VLAN and give it its IP range
and Masquerade it from Firewall
PS : I searched the wiki , but it doesn't help

so i hope i can find help here ...

There are basic examples how to make vlans.

I tried as the wiki said
1 - Created VLAN and Put it On Local Interface ( Interface that provides Service for Clients )
2 - Assigned Its IP 10.10.10.3/24
3 - Went to Firewall and created a masquerade rule for it
4 - Then at my pc
i put this Configuration

IP 10.10.10.1
Subnet 255.0.0.0
Gate way 10.10.10.3
===============
DNS
208.67.222.123
208.67.220.123

then
i started to open my Firefox and found it saying

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at en-us.start3.mozilla.com.

Pinging yahoo.com :

Request timed out .

Even pinging on 10.10.10.3

Request timed out .

so can any one tell me where is the problem here

Is your PC VLAN capable? How are you connecting it to the network?

How do i know if it capable or not
I'm connecting though wire cable to the Mikrotik ROS

You should read up on VLAN fundamentals, how they work, and how and when and where you can use them.

Also, Juniper and Cisco will have good white papers and documentation online for free that you can find via Google.
