Internet proxy

Mon Nov 08, 2010 8:47 pm

Hi!

With my computer at home I'm connected to the internet through provider A. My mikrotik router is physically far away and is connected to the internet through provider B. My goal is to use my mikrotik router as an internet gateway for my computer with the help of a encrypted tunnel. I want to run an internet browser and a torrent client through this tunnel.

In the past I had problems with lawyers because of some torrents, which I ran through provider A. Provider B is in another country, there I wouldn't have these problems.

I already set up an OVPN-Server on the mikrotik and I can connect from my computer, but I cannot reach the internet.

So is there a way I can use browser and torrent-client so that they only see the mikrotiks ip from Provider B?

Thanks

Im not completely sure of this, I havent tried like this but maybe...

You can use mangle to mark tcp port 80 (browsing http) and tcp 443 (browsing https), and also mark whatever the protocol and port the torrent-client is using and use routing marks to route that traffic trhough the tunnel
