I'm using an RB411. I'm new to Mikrotik but far from new to routers ... still, I managed to make one hell of a stupid mistake. I disabled the ether1 IP before assigning a new one, winbox timed out and now I'm locked out. I don't have a serial cable with me. Is there any way I can restore factory defaults, if therr are any, or reflash/reinstall the RouterOS to allow me to get back in using the network?

I tried netinstall activating the pxe, hoping the rb411 would boot from it but it doesn't pop up in the list when power cycling it. I also tried switching it off, holding the button pressed, switching it on and waiting until it beeps but it still doesn't show up in the netinstall list.

Any way I can get back in without a serial cable? (I don't care about losing the existing config).

Nevermind ... minutes after I posted the above i discovered that i can access it using plain mac address (neat!). It was my first post on the board and was under moderation until now.

Am having the same problem i need help,i have downloaded net instal and when i flash the router i get bout client address 169.254.163.71,when i type the ip on my browser only a blan page pops.I have also tried to restore the device to default and nothing happens,am locked out completely,I also ran mikrotik neigbour got got IP 192.168.88.1 and when i load on browser nothing happens.I have spent the entire day on this
when i use cmd i dont see the default gateway its blank
