2.9.XXX nightmares.

Mon Nov 28, 2005 1:06 am

What card FULLY supports 2.9 with no side-effects?

We are currently using 2.9 with Prism Cards, and also the Netgear WGT311 (which with more than 15 users, has severe lag or packet loss problems). The issues on the netgear is almost like someone has skewed the MSS/MTU setting on the Mikrotik.

Our amplifier input is 50mW. The card has to be able to run at the 30mW level to prevent over-driving our amplifier.

Please be more specific about the side effects/issues you are having... what does the log say?

We have also had trouble, to some things we found solutions/workarounds to others we have not.

The home-link is using radius, and people constantly try to get onto my personal link going to the house. No matter how hard they try, cloning macs, using wepcrack, they just cant seem to get in. :)

I have been using the Atheros AR5213 without any known problems. I dont use Prism because of no support for WEP or WPA.
