5.0rc5 BGP Communities not showing up

Thu Dec 30, 2010 5:49 pm

I upgraded one of our BGP routers to 5.0rc5 and it appears none of my bgp communities are getting set now. As a test, I simplified my filtering to add a community to all routes learned from a specific peer, but when I go look at the route in the routing table, it shows up there, says it was received-from the correct peer, but doesn't show any communities set. Did something change on how to set communities? Or is something broken?

Nothing was changed, communities worked fine for me in RC5. Post your peer config and filter rules.

I think I figured out what is going on. I upgraded to RC7 and now on all my route filters the prefix is set to 0.0.0.0 when it was not set to anything before. I can not remove this. When I edit a route filter and click the up arrow next to prefix to remove it, it removes, and I don't get any errors when I save, but then when I look at it again it is back to 0.0.0.0.

If I delete the route filter and re-add it, it will then allow me to not have the prefix field filled in.

Is there a way to get the prefix removed from my route filters? Or do I need to delete them all and re-add?

Console should work correctly.
