Could not establish ISDN-Dial-Out

Sun Nov 27, 2005 2:38 am

Hello,

I´m using RouterOS 2.9.8 on an Pentium 3 650 Mhz with an Intel Pro NIC and a Fritz-PCI ISDN-Card.

I want the machine to deal as ISDN-Router, but the ISDN-Connection does not work.

RouterOS successfully loads the FritzPCI-Driver automatically. Both ISDN-Channel exits. If I configure the dial-out connection, it does not succeed in getting a connection. Log shows following:

02:50:39 isdn,ppp,info 01937400600: initializing...
02:50:39 isdn,ppp,debug 01937400600: PPP started
02:50:39 isdn,ppp,info 01937400600: dialing...
02:50:49 isdn,ppp,debug 01937400600: PPP disconnected <could not make a call>
02:50:49 isdn,ppp,info 01937400600: terminating... - could not make a call
02:50:49 isdn,ppp,debug 01937400600: PPP stopped
02:50:49 isdn,ppp,info 01937400600: disconnected
02:50:49 isdn,ppp,debug 01937400600: CCP lowerdown
02:50:49 isdn, ppp, debug 01937400600: CCP down event in initial state
02:50:49 isdn,ppp,debug 01937400600: IPCP lowerdown
02:50:49 isdn, ppp, debug 01937400600: IPCP down event in initial state

I already changed the ISDN-Connection-Cable and tried another Fritz-PCI Card, but always the same error.

Could anybody help? Thank You.

Don't think that things have changed there - I think FritzCard's are still not supported.
I have several routers running with different versions up from good old 2.5.x or so with ISDN.
Get yourself a supported ISDN card to try with...

According to http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/gu ... list#1.2.8 Fritz Card should be supported and winbox shows the driver correct loaded.

A few days ago, I tried ELSA Quickstep 1000 PRO PCI. But same problem.

Ooops, got me on the supported cards. Fritz! cards seem to be new with 2.9.

I was mainly using ELSA cards, will try to setup a test config with 2.9 and one of those tomorrow (if I find a free test machine, that is ;) )...

Best regards,
Christian

Hello Christian,

No, sorry. Didn't manage to get a free test machine with ISDN in it until now, and end-of-year business is nearly killing me ;)

I can't promise anything, but will try to test...

Hello Cmit,

latelay I tested Elsa Quickstep Pro 1000 but this card also does not work. Can you please tell me exactly the name of your working ISDN-Cards?

Thank you.

Have a nice day,
canram.
