Setting up small town network - Suggestions -

Thu Mar 10, 2011 6:33 pm

First of all I would like to say HELLO to everyone, because I'm new user.

Now let's get to the point, I would like to setup small town network, and I want you guys (if it's possible to help me a bit).

My plan is to make like 3 access points with one "base" access point (internet provider)

One picture (so you get a bit of view)
A - Location of DSL connection (20Mbit connection)
(DSL -> Computer(with Mikrotik on it) -> WLAN router (siemens sx763) -> B Point

B - Also MikrotikOS computer, wich connects to Siemens SX763 on A point and get's it internet to repeate it to others (it's located on like 100 meters higher position then Point A)

C - Also Mikrotik OS computer.

Now my question is!

Is it possible to make that Point A gives internet to point B and then point B gives to point C?
and how to make it easly?

Im trying to make HotSpot for begging so everyone are able to connect on it (just some minor limitations like speed and such, and limiting torrentz)

and also can I use WLAN routers (like Siemens SX763) to broadcast internet instead of buying antenas? Just plug them to eth port and good to go?
(dont mind of distance of those aps)

Edit:

how would you set up that kind of network?

Siemens SX763 !! its for home user only you must use a powerful wlan AP to connect location (A) to location(B) for example you can use Mikrotik RB433 + R52HN or Xr5 with a 23db flat antenna .
what is the distance between A-B-C ?

I know that in theory, but not in "work" so I'm gonna learn as I go.

My question is let's say I put RB433 on location A, B, C! (3x of RB433)
Would be possible that (if yes, HOW?) that A is connected on internet, giving hotspot, and signal for B to act as a hotspot, and B gives a signal to C to act as a hotspot?

How would you connect all those?

This is how I think it's done, but if you got any other suggestin, would be "rox".

A - RB433
eth1 - Internet - DSL 40Mbit
wlan1 - Hotspot
Virtual wlan1 for site B?
or I should:
wlan2 - Only for B.

and then just B:
wlan1 - accept Internet from A
wlan2- make HOtspot and give internet to C?
or I should buy another wlan interface?

Tell me, what would you do to connect A with B, and B with C?

Distance between A < 200m~ > B (but I can see it without any tree on it's way, because it's on somekind of mountain.

Thanks!
