Hi,
 /system routerboard settings
set force-backup-booter=no
then try to upgrade.

HTH,

Good advice, the update is successful. :D

CPU frequency for the update to the 100 MHz and was followed by the:
system routerboard settings set cpu-frequency=680
USB flash drive is lost, the micro-sd OK, helped the interruption of power supply routerboard.

Webfig broke in v5.1 5.2 should be released to fix this bug.

Mikrotik, what changed in v5.1 webfig that broke it? Is there anywhere we might log this to let users know not to use v5.1?

Hi,

HTH,

I followed your advice and I upgraded the firmware from 2.28 to 2.29.
But, with the new firmware, I can't log in winbox from MAC address (which I use by default). Actually I can connect only through IP address.
How can I resolve this problem?
Any suggestion?

yours,

RE: webfig problem

I'm not sure if this is the same error, but this breaks webfig in FF. It remains stuck at "loading".....

From firebug:
missing ; before statement
http://<ip>/webfig/engine.js
Line 1
Of course, Line 1 is the entire file....

@adi55
Check your settings in '/ip neighbor', maybe discovery is disabled on local interfaces.

I keep checking back and this post still says "tomorrow".

Is the unit of measure an Earth day or Venus day?

while testing 5.2 for release some more problems where found, so we are working on those and thus release of 5.2 is delayed.

Re: v.5.1 release

Thu Apr 21, 2011 11:03 pm

I just ran into the 100% cpu issue. How it happened:

* Was logged into RB1100 w/ 5.1 via SSH.
* Was going to /ip neighbor discovery to check settings. In the middle of typing the command the SSH session became unresponsive.
* SSH'd in via another console, it authenticated immediately but the console took forever to display the MOTD (mikrotik logo in text). Never received an actual prompt
* Logged in via winbox, everything working fine, it shows 100% cpu. Even launching a terminal from within Winbox had the same issue- took forever to display MOTD, never gets to an actual shell.

I left it this way for about an hour, it never recovered. Rebooted it. Issue has not occured again yet. I will remain logged in via ssh to see if it reproduces. The device in question is barely doing any traffic and has a single IPSec tunnel:

Is there any way to manually kill connected users/shells? This may have cleared up the problem.

support Alpha AWPCI085HU RouterOS v 5.x ?

Tue Apr 26, 2011 11:19 pm

Does not support Alpha AWPCI085HU miniPCI 500mW (Atheros AR5414, 802.11 a b g) in the RouterOS 5.x RB433UAH. Scan OK, connect: "failed connect, on 2452, authentication timeout". AP encrypted and unencrypted (R52H connect OK). RouterOS 4.3 works.
