the way to display chinese in map

Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:48 am

now the dude support chinese language ,yet the translate is poor,so i still use english language.

default, even select chinese language , the map can't display chinese font correctly.

now i found the way to solve this problem:

just delete the font files in the dude folder

Dude\data\files\*.ttf

you can improve the translation and upload a better one. take the translation file from here, and improve it: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:The_Dude/Languages

i translate 4.0beta3 language file (download from http://download.mikrotik.com/dude/4.0be ... 0beta3.txt)

i read the note
All files should be made in UTF-8, to use - rename to "strings.txt" and put into The Dude directory"
When you download an interface translation, and you install it, at least for 2.2, you must not start the Dude after the installation with Latvian language, to prevent any strings to be created in Latvian. Start the Dude after you copy the strings into the program folder, or you will have to use a new Dude DB to prevent some strings created in latvian, in the left panel.
and do as it say ,but the left panel don't chang to chinese .

how to solve it ?

did the other items in Dude interface change to new translation? buttons and other elements use your new translation? in that case it's a bug, we will fix it.

yes, most buttons and items are changed, just the left panel change nothing.

i post the language file below, you can test it.

I still check the translation is appropriate, and some need to paraphrase.

you need to reset the server settings for the chinese language to take effect:

Local Server -> Reset

or if you connect remotely, Server Settings -> Reset

when you have fine-tuned and completed your new translation, let us know, and we will include it in the next Dude version

i review the chinese language file again today, and correct some error or improper.

yet i don't have a complete environment and devices to review all functions and scenes,

and i don't have enough time to view all keyword in languge file on the dude UI, so there

must be some incorrect translations in the file, if any one found it, please notify me,i will

continuous improve the translations.
