what? RB751 has optional MMCX connector, but antenna is built in. read more carefullywhy RB2011 five Fast Ethernet ports? Why do not all like the Giga Ethernet RB1200?

Why does RB751xxx RSMA connectors?

all of our country is FFTx depends on the region probablyHi Normis,
Is there also going to be a RB1100 AH X2-style Board with SFP onboard sometime soon?
To be honest, I actually assumed that these higher class boards would be
the first to be outfitted with SFP I know of absolutely nobody who would need a low-cost SFP CPE...
FTTx is just way too uncommon...
Yes those are powered USB ports.Interesting new products; I'm looking forward to try some when available.
BTW I hope the USB ports on new devices being self powered this time...
Great; Thanks uldis!Yes those are powered USB ports.
Sanity has been restored!Yes those are powered USB ports.
which one? RB751U will be 1W!Dear mikrotik..
can be the Wifi product come at least 28dbm RF power or more higher?
if can be something look like ubnt nano m2 such thing will be great..
Come on, it's a sunday, let us rest for a dayMT Team:

Normis..input is 24V and output is 600mA per port. You can calculate how much can you power
600mA/port means 14,4W at 24v. In the data sheet of the RB433AH maximum power consumption is 25W and 16W to cards.Normis..input is 24V and output is 600mA per port. You can calculate how much can you power
in this case, is it depend on the input power?
can we use the 24VDC 3A switching adapter in order to make sure i have sufficient output power for the bridge?
Appreciate for you sharing..

Are you saying that you must power it via the power jack when utilizing poe out?if you want to use the power out feature, you must use the 24V power adapter. but if you don't want to use it, you can still take power from PoE. the PoE out feature is optional, you can switch it off
you can use PEXT or POE to power the POE out router. It is similar to 802.3af except, auto feature will start work with less resistance than set 19KOHM set in standard and it will power 9 to 28V devices.
Limitation is that you have 600mA on port, so if you use 28V PSU you will get 16W on the board, whilst using 10V you get just 6W for the board.
Also - you can turn off POE out, if you know for sure that port does not require power and "on" when you want to power device that auto function is not detecting
Hi Mikrotik, i believe most of us is more happy if This product can power on 4 unit RB411AH with high power wireless card for more efficient wireless network performance.it was intended to power small devices, something like RB411 with high power card, SXT etc.
(usually one high power card consumes around 7W at MAX consumption)
So whats the point of this unit then? It's more useful to your client base to be able to power a site from it thats running 4 x RB4xx with multiple cards in each. Something you can't do with this product. I can think of a dozen different uses for this device in infrastructure and very few on the client side. Just like the RB2011 MT fails to understand it's clients again. Most of us dont need a SFP slot on a CPE we need a SFP slot on a high power routerit was intended to power small devices, something like RB411 with high power card, SXT etc.

Hum...we are also working on many other products, it's just that not all of them are ready to announce yet.

Normis, Janisk
One last question...
Are we to expect a 2Ghz Version of the Groove the same time the 5Ghz version ships? ......... Getting tired of putting 2.4ghz client systems together.
Pigtail + Jumper Cable/Barrel Adapter + Bulky Enclosure + Enlarged mounting Pole = (PITA)
What's wrong with it? We've been doing it for years - no problem. As I stated earlier, multiple cards in each radio just isn't a good idea.

That is exactly what I would do.We run 2 or 3 card setups and find that the high power cards dont like to play nicely but it works and you can do things to help avoid issues. You'd be crazy on a 10+ antenna site to run RB's for each radio
I wonder if the price of RB751 can match Ubiquiti Networks AirRouter?Wow guys, if you put the price of the RB751, RB751U and RB751G at almost the same price as RB750 or RB750G, I'll buy a lot... I was dreaming about this day long time ago.. lol
That would be nice. Not so much for the connector as I carry a serial cable anyway, but because you can extend roll over consoles with copper ethernet cables. Awesome for gear that's mounted in a hard to reach location - run an additional network cable and you have console access without having to be within 50 ft of the equipment.Hey, how about changing the DB-9 serial connector to a RJ-45 configured the same way as Cisco so I only have to keep one serial cable that's common throughout the industry...

yes that's right, RB2011 will have that connectorI have and the RB435G, RB1110AHx2, RB1200 all appear to have DB9. The only one I cannot tell is the RB2011
I believe it is 10x, 1Gb capable ports..Is the upcoming RB1200 10x 10gbps ports or 10x 1gbps ports?
If its 10gbps ports I am highly excited!
Thanks.
this is the case.I believe it is 10x, 1Gb capable ports..
We now have RB435G in stock, SXT in stock, and a few RB1100AH left in stock (we have been selling them for over 1 month).April coming to an end. Where's the new boards promised for this month ?
Excellent, well please do note when you receive the 711-2hn's in stock, along with the groove. We now have RB435G in stock, SXT in stock, and a few RB1100AH left in stock (we have been selling them for over 1 month).April coming to an end. Where's the new boards promised for this month ?
RB1200 coming in about a week.
More products should be coming in May.
Give them a chance. They are pedaling as fast as they can.

I believe it is 10x, 1Gb capable ports..
WHEN? Normis - when it wil be available?!Sorry, no. We will start by Groove 5Ghz.
Can we get a status update on the Groove please. What is the estimated timescale on this product and will it have a similar price model to the Ubiquiti Bullet.
Thanks
Thank you for that. I will keep my eyes open.Groove is still on track, for this month.
this is the corrected release shedule:How about RB751U ? Wasn't it supposed to be released in April ?
Most of them: "available in May". What month is it?this is the corrected release shedule:How about RB751U ? Wasn't it supposed to be released in April ?
http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/generic.pdf
http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/generic.pdfThere was mention of a RB750 with PoE out. RB75UP or RB750P, I've seen different references to this product.
When can we expect it?
READ the document by Normunds. should be JUNE of 2011. Probably late June / Early July when be able to get one.normunds..
can be the poe switch have separate watch dog, it can monitor the devices connected to that port, and when it not able to reach that unit, it can be only reboot on that particular port.
if this can be, it will be wonderful, and when is the actual date for us to place order as we been waiting it...
appreciate for you feedback..
So - we are still waiting, and... waiting... and...Groove is still on track, for this month.
You want that kind of router from Mikrotik with cost 6k ?
Are sure that you will buy Mikrotik router capable of 100g which will cost 1 million or even more? You will not!! So stop complaining and use MT equipment where it’s suitable.
Mikrotik is perfect solution for small ISPs or any size WISP, they are also gaining share in enterprise market. I have customers with 300 RB/750Gs used for branch offices, it’s perfect for this purpose.
Hi, i just found a new Mikrotik product. Its the RG/750GL
Here is the link: http://shop.meconet.de/artikeldet.php?p ... tub3mefaa1
Is this a replacement for the RB750G? How is the performance? IT has double RAM but only 400MHz CPU for the same price.
it doesn't have USBRB750G was removed from http://routerboard.com/
So it looks that 750GL is replacement for 750G.
Slower CPU but more memory and additional powered USB port.
IMHO ideal product for SOHO market.
Regards,
So why USB port is visible on photo on routerboard.com and is also mentioned in Quick User Guide? Please, don't make people fool and fix documentation.ditonet wrote:

Why have all the dates been removed from that file? Are they no longer on track for the June releases?this is the corrected release shedule:

I am told that this one might possibly make it out this month (June). The other Atheros based new products July or August. When will RB711-2Hn be available ??
Late this year on both RB1100AH and RB1100AHx2. More shortages at Freescale. Remember the RB1100 delays? Be happy that the RB1200 PPC comes from a different source. When should we see the RB1100AHx2 available in the US?
So the best RB solution for a Level 6 licensed rackmount with flash storage allowance at this time is the RB1100?Late this year on both RB1100AH and RB1100AHx2. More shortages at Freescale. Remember the RB1100 delays? Be happy that the RB1200 PPC comes from a different source.

Hmm, I think I'll wait ... Is a L6 license transferable if purchased seperately?I think you are correct there. So the best RB solution for a Level 6 licensed rackmount with flash storage allowance at this time is the RB1100?Late this year on both RB1100AH and RB1100AHx2. The RB1100 has a microSD slot. The RB1200 does not. Both do have onboard flash so it depends what you mean by flash storage.
There are also MFM third party rack mount solutions using RB450G and RB493G routerboards and both of these have microSD flash slots. The RB493G also has a USB socket. Both come with Level 5 licenses.
Tom
Is there any plan for a gigabit router (450G-like) supporting jumbo frames? I mean, seriously, a Gb network device that is limited to 1500 mtuThe most useful stat is a higher MTU.
Licenses cannot be transferred around. They stay with the device that they are installed on. However, you can move an x86 license to another x86 box by moving the hard drive, or flash drive that it was installed on. That is one of the reasons to install an license on a reliable medium like flash drive.Hmm, I think I'll wait ... Is a L6 license transferable if purchased seperately?
I have an RB450G and an ESXi server, I could load a RouterOS VM and install the L6 License and use it for my needs, then when the RB1100AHx2 comes out, I would not have need for the VM, so it would be nice to transfer the purchased L6 to the RB450G.
Also if I have 1 RouterOS VM active, and 1 cold backup, could I utilize the same license as long as I don't have both up and running at the same time, or would I still need 2 licenses?
Yes, MicroSD is what I was referring to, I was thinking about utilization of Web Caching and Metarouter.
You do not want the RB751G specifically because it has 400mhz and 23/64mb ram? That has nothing to do with minipci and usb. The RB751G has usb. It doesn't have minipci, but it has a powerful 802.11n radio built in.i have a wish
routerboard 450G with mini pci and powered usb for 3g or more storage
can mikrotik/routerboard carry into effect ?
maybe with a new product
rb751g, if it will have 400 mhz cpu and 32/64mb ram is not really what i want
thanks
what is that? we don't have such productNormis when rb711 5HnD ?
At a guess, I would say that it is because Mikrotik operates in a competitive market and do not want their competitors to find out about future products before they are in production. Why not show RB711 5HnD ? Several times I wrote about this product but always has been deleted.

This summerOn that subject, is there any update on when the 751U will be available?
The last official word from mikrotik was "April"
Thank you Normis.current estimate for Rb750UP is August
Also, will it be AC or DC power supply?I am extremely interested in the RB2011.
- Any idea on the release date?
- What L2MTU can be expected?
- What throughputs/performance can be expected?
- Will it have OAM capabilities?
- Will there be a non wireless version?
Yes a higher dbi antenna would be nicer.I hoped to see the SXT 20dB antenna in list.
It would be perfect! sigh
here it is: http://routerboard.com/RB435Gwill be in the future something like this?
[*]2 or more Gbit ethernet interface with at least 1526 byte L2MTU
[*]1 minipci port (or 1 integrated 802.11n MiMo radio module normal or H version)
[*]no moving part (so no fan)
[*]around $200 price
We thinks that this is what a professional wisp need to have today to provide a good internet service to it's customers...
Will be also a fiber version?... no I don't wan't ask too much!
Good work!
about what voltage you are talking about? If you are powering 7series or 4 series RouterBOARD from that solar panel, RB750GL will definitely work. Will it work above 28v then, which we often need in solar sites?
+1.Ubiquiti client currently supplies kit that is protected against ESD. SXT gets plastic POE. What?
Results are on page 9 and 12 of the PowerPoint slide pack. Roughly double the performance of a Rocket.
It's time you guys have a MUM in Cape Town so that people like Eugenevdm and I can take you into real world scenarios and show you how the products perform "in the wild".eben, what? it's common knowledge that mikrotik nv2 outperforms ubnt devices by a good margin, even the AFMUG Backhaul Bakeoff proved that: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r253380 ... E~start=20

most of our products have 12-16kV ESD protection on both ethernet and RF ports.and ESD? will ever be supported by you? I have to buy another one bracket, and other PoE to SXT. That's a lot more money on. The first time a storm damaged the RB.
Two rules that I follow:... a direct strike will destroy the device...
RB711 is one of our most successful products, and we sell it worldwide in very large numbers.I'm not buying them. People buy them, and they could stop you know? You can eat bread with butter and ham or only with butter. As easy as that.
