What antenna's are you using, what radio cards, is there any other antenna's used with the ptp,the ccq for both ends and have you tried moving the radio card which was taken out to the other side of the link and checked, no point in just changing one card on a link you have a 50/50 chance of replacing a faulty card(s) unless the signals are pin-pointing to one side only

Post your interface wireless status page from both sides (omit any private stuff - ip address etc) with traffic running are you using NV2 or 802.11

With signal of -71 at a distance of 3 km i think the LOS is not clear. The path must eb having interference as well. With the fluctuating thruput it is quite conclusive.
Perhaps one of ur equipment is placed high and other is on a low rise building.
Check out the conditions and post details for better suggestions. Try using 5GHz-10Mz band perhaps it would solve to some extent for the p.thruput. provided los is the issue.

I've used vsat units in field networks before and it's never affected wifi, though I've never used an extended C band unit. What frequency are you using?

The most common vsats are Ku or Ka which together range from 10Ghz to 31Ghz. If it's a C band the only way I could see it interfering with your link is if you're above the regulation 5.825Ghz as C band's normal transmission frequencies start at 5.85Ghz or a LMI C-Band that starts at 5.725ghz. If it is I've seen some vsat system with up to 400w transmit power so you'll need to get below it's frequency range or make a significant move as the sidelobes will cause issues.
