First of all thanks to everyone for helping me in many problems and giving me good suggestions and solutions in my previous threads. This thread is also similar to previous one but different also.

Today, i want to connect Point to Point connections with TP LINK Grid 24dbi Complete Datasheet is available on this link http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/deta ... 2424B#spec

I am using tplink grid on base with Mikrotik with Atheros AR5213 chipset wireless card.

i want to do following thing.

1- i want to connect point 1 from base (as mentioned in pictures i attached with this thread) with using tplink grid on point 1.
2- i also want to connect point 2 from base or from point 1 (as mentioned in pictures i attached with this thread) with using same equipments.
3- i am using grid as ap bridge on base. if anyone want settings of grid on base then i can send you.

My question's are:

1- Can i connect point 1 and point 2 from base at same time with using one grid on base and grid on points?
2- Can i connect point 2 with point 1 if i can't connect point 2 with base directly?
3- with using grid how can far i connect my sub station from base?

THe second scenario could be solved as follows:
- make Point2 the AP
- make Point1 and Main Base the stations, which both will be connecting to Point1

This way you'll get away with just three radios.

I'm not seeing why you would intentionally try and make a longer link just to save a radio. Spend the extra, get the best antenna's and the best cards. That way if it doesn't work you can't blame the gear.

Make it 2 seperate links and then you can route/bridge from there. I'd put 2 Radio in Base, Separate frequencies and Seperate Antenna's.

The location 'base' is near Khambi?

You gave a chipset but not the wireless card you're using.

If you get up at least 25m at each location of your base-point 2 link and have a decent cards (I ran the numbers with the highest data rate on the R52Hn at 5.7Ghz MCS07 40mhz wide) you should get a decent link.

That all depends on good radio cards, clear line of sight, and height. The Fresnel zones take a hit once you start going below 20m on each side.

That's all theoretical because I don't know anything more than a general location.

i am using HP wcards. Cards power is 20dbm. Base height is almost above 65 feet.

We are using 2.4Ghz Tplink Grid. Now we want to connect to one new point only new point is:
new point is far from base almost 4.87KM. i think with using grid on both sides (Base and Point 1) its possible to connect on 11 MBps. If we can connect then please tell us about settings and how much height is require on the point 1.

Again this is mostly guesswork as a datasheet on the wireless card your using would be a huge help as TX power and RX sensitivity change with the data rates.

If you're using the same antennas and get a clear line of sight from where you're mounting them then you should get a solid link.

line of site is very clear. my base station height is almost 70 feet and point one is also 70 feet.

The best solution to cut cost is to use one radio with two wireless card with two antennas at the base pointing to point 1 and 2. This way you will be able to align each link eyeball to eyeball. I have done a link over 24km with R52 (65mwatt) and got very good link. It all depends on free LOS and your ability to align.

Can you please tell me about settings. At Base station i use Grid as a station or ap bridge and please also tell me about point 1 settings.
