RB433 cpu mode at regular

Tue Dec 29, 2009 5:59 pm

I want to keep the temputure up on the RB because I may have some XR3 freezing. I want to make sure the routerboard cpu is at regular. Here is what I did.

[admin@fmo] /system routerboard settings> edit cpu-mode
[admin@fmo] /system routerboard settings> /sys reboot
Reboot, yes? [y/N]:
y
system will reboot shortly

then I do
edit cpu-mode

and it says power-save.

Why wont it take effect at regular. Do I need to downgrade in order to get regular back? Basicly I upgrade the network to 4.3 routeros and now clients are disconnecting at cold temps.

why u think it's cpu bug? it can be ect. condensate in antena, connectors. But anyway /system routerboard settings>edit: cpu-mode and change power-saver to regular then Ctrl+o. and it should be regular as well. No need to reboot.

I have 100% water proof connectors. I bought $35 4 foot cables with quick connect. Also I use mastic tape. I just did this again.

/system routerboard settings> edit cpu-mode

The changed it to regular

Then did cntrl O to save it. I did this again
/system routerboard settings> edit cpu-mode

and it still says power-save. Whats wrong?

Weird my routerboard doesnt do that. I did exactly the same. I dont even see that option. Why is this? I am using a RB433.

[admin@fmo] > /sys routerboard
[admin@fmo] /system routerboard> settings
[admin@fmo] /system routerboard settings> pr
baud-rate: 115200
boot-delay: 2s
boot-device: nand-if-fail-then-ethernet
enter-setup-on: any-key
cpu-frequency: 300MHz
boot-protocol: bootp
enable-jumper-reset: yes
force-backup-booter: no
[admin@fmo] /system routerboard settings>

I have the same problem on a 433ah with ROS 5.5 on it. Were you ever able to resolve your issue?

I can edit and save from power-save to regular but the save doesn't stick. I also don't see the cpu-mode displayed when I run the print command.

/sys rout set set cpu-mode=regular

Try this command and it will change from cpu safe-mode to Regular
