Bonding or Load Balancing for this network?

Thu Sep 08, 2011 9:29 pm

Hello to all,

I am a little confused, I have attached a network diagram, each wireless link has 20Mpbs of Bandwidth, I would like to know what is the best possible configuration to make the sumatory of both wireless link so the aggregated would be 40Mbps between both routers RB450G

Previously I have configured load balancing but tipically I have used for 2 gateways and it works fine with PCC or ECMP...but I might think that this is better with bonding...

Could somebody give me some link in the wiki to apply this configuration in the best possible way for bonding or load balancing?

Thanks for your help

if the wireless links are not havin the same bandwidth, xor mode would be the best approach for the situation??

unfortunately, I don't know how to balance Bonding unequally. you can do not proportional balancing in routing, with help of ECMP or PCC

ohh...sounds interesting, it doesn't matter that both links are not gateway?? Because I thought that ECMP or PCC works when I want to establish the next hop as gateway, but none of the hosts are gateway of each other, could you explain me a little bit more this possible configuration?
Thanks for your help

you will need routed network to use routing balancing...
