CPU frequency RB750G set to 100 MHz

Huh. Mine didn't do that.

You can change it to something else:
/system routerboard settings set cpu-frequency=680MHz

thanks for the quick reply. I just came to the same conclusion. In another post they also mention
/system routerboard settings keep-frequency
but that didn't work and also wasn't necessary since after a reboot it works.

Strange it ends up with 100 MHz though.

Be aware that the clock speed change doesn't take effect until you reboot. Not sure if the "keep-frequency" matters or not, I'd have to check the on-line documentation.

I've been thinking about dialing mine down to about half speed to see if it saves power. Of course it already draws very little so it could be hard to measure.

apparently your RouerOS suffered a kernel crash, this can happen.

set frequency back to default in '/system routerboard settings set cpu-frequency=400MHz'

Hi Normis thanks for your answer,

just to make sure.

I have set it to 680Mhz instead of 400Mhz because i think this is the default for my router. Is this correct ?
