spectral-scan

Tue Aug 02, 2011 5:48 am

Hey Guys,

Testing v5.5.

Have anyone cracked the code used by Mikrotik when saving spectral-scan results to a file?

Hex editor, could make sense, but without help on the syntax does not make much sense.

Plain reading of the file produces the following (this is just a sample):

ËM2 ˆ ˆ ˆ
ˆ 2 Ò þ 0À
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>

<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
 á ÇM2 ˆ ˆ ˆ

ˆ 2 Ò þ 0À˜—˜™™™šššš™šššš›š™™™š›š›™š™›™šš››šš™ššššššššš››šš›ššš™›š˜š››š›ššššš›ššššš›šš™š›šššš™˜˜™›š›šš›š››››šš›››››š››››œ›™›œœ›››

Its not documented on the Wiki and i only see this was a feature request that seems to have been filled.

Mikrotik,

Is there anyway to decode the output, or is it broken as of v5.5?

We are automating a few tests for our connections and this is one we would like to have working with our software.

we are also in need of decoding the saved document. Is it really the case that nobody seems to be caring about this feature or my search skills are lacking? K.
