not getting DHCP past my first bridge link

Mon Oct 10, 2011 6:06 pm

I have a simple network, that consist of an UPLINK site, which is where my fiber internet is terminated at, I am using Mikrotik (for its hotspot features) and I have a 2.4 GHz omni-directional antenna broadcasting from it....1 mile away I have a 300' cell phone site, I have a NanoBridge M2 for the backhaul to the uplink site. I have the LAN port of the poe injector of the NanoBridge going into a cisco 2960 layer 2 switch, from there we have (4) 2.4 GHz sector antennas on each leg of the cell site that are also plugged into the cisco switch. Even if I replace the switch with an unmanaged D-Link or Netgear same issue, no DHCP.

My problem is, the NanoBridge M2 is setup in bridge mode, I am getting clean throughput with almost perfect signal to the UPLINK site. If I plug into the switch I cannot get DHCP from the Mikrotik, but if I go to the UPLINK site, I can get DHCP as I should. Behind the NanoBridge I am unable to receive a DHCP address.

In the Mikrotik, I do have the mac, and IP of the NanaBridge BINDED, and in BYPASS mode, so it doesnt have to authenticate through the Radius server.

DO you have any ideas on why I cannot get DHCP beyond the NanoBridge?

THanks in advance for your help.

change the nanobridge to station mode; not station-wds mode. ubiquity is tricky like that.
