Torch on queue

Tue Jan 31, 2006 4:32 pm

It would be very useful if it is possible to use torch to analyze traffic on queue or simple queue.

Iknow about that option to opet torch with predefined aprameters. That is not what I mean, i mant to have an new drop down list in torch, where we can simply choose queue.

by the waym torch option in simple queues does not work for me.

My simple queues are defined based on ethernet adapter toward ISP and user IP is set as Destination Address. When i use torch option it opens Torch with last used ethernet adapeter selected (not one used in simple queue and destination address is set to one use for simple queue. That obviously does not goive any result. When i manually set ethernet adapter to one used forr ISP it stil does not work because Torch cannot see local IP addresses in connections on that adapter due to NAT. I can see proper traffic in Torch if I use local ethernet adapter user is connected to, and set users IP address as source.

Thats qhy I suggested using queue as new Torch parameter. That way we do not have to deal with settings again. queue rule alredy separated connections. I am sure, if we can se graphic for queue traffic, it is possible to see exact connections info too.

I would be happy to se Torch tab in queue dialog, which shows current connections passing through queue, with additional options to filter them.
