winbox issues in 2.9.12

Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:57 am

I can get into my router just fine but when I click a menu like interfaces it will just lock up winbox and I can restart it fine but still the same over and over a lot of menus seem to cause my winbox to lock up, not sure if it's a problem that I'm the only one facing or if other people are having the same issues, I downloaded the latest winbox straight from the web server running on the MT and still the same results I guess I could try clearing my cache.

could someone else try opening the winbox and going to the wireless button on the left then double clicking on your wireless interface, then hit 'cancel' or 'ok' then close that wireless window, everytime i do it it just crashes winbox and i can reopen it with no problem, just does that everytime

Sure,

I also get a Windows critical error and a shutdown of WinBox when I access Interfaces.

Please fix it !

what version of windows do you use? not me, not others could reproduce this problem. so:

1. Windows Version (or Wine?) ?
2. Does it happend always?
3. Does it happen on any computer, or only this one?
4. RouterOS version, Winbox Loader is the newest?

Hello again

I can confirm, that I have a problem in WinBox accessing the menu "Interfaces". It is 100 % reproducable... When clicking on the menu it blows up !

Setup:

ROS 2.9.12 (on RB220)
Loader 2.2.8 - just downloaded for the occation
XP Pro SP2 - in healthy condition
It happens on two different PC's

The technical info is only in danish due to OS-language - and not to much help. To me it looks like a null-pointer problem...

And yes - I know what I am talking about. Pls look at the number of licences in operation (djurs).

Best regards

Normis,

Could give me an updated (fixed) winbox?
We are used to winbox and cannot upgrade to 2.9.12 given the above bug. Second option is we wait futher (for 2.9.13)...

Also, we are really looking to get the RSTP in rstp-bridge-test,
we we run about 20 APs with STP/WDS-bridging and the more APs we add the longer STP takes.
But no-where is any info on how to use/config rstp-bridge-test.
Approx when can we expect RSTP in regular (winbox-support) ?
thx

no, this is a fix in routeros, not in winbox. you will have to wait for 2.9.13

ok, for RB230 can/haveto wait for 2.9.13
Is this bug also on the RB500 version of 2.9.12?

PS: rstp-bright-test : shall I open a new topic on this? So far I see that anything related to .....-test packages usually never gets any feedback from MT
