Drive Space

Fri Mar 10, 2006 7:26 pm

We have MT 2.8.18 installed on a PC with total HDD space as reported in system/resources as

61484

We have Free HDD Space of 50 as reported by system/resources

I can't even do a backup because there is not enough room. How can I tell what is using up all the HD space?

Thanks

Use 2.9.17 version, there should not be such problem.

This router is no longer upgradeable and also I would be afraid to go from 2.8 to 2.9.17 when the box is 190 miles from here.

I filled a flash dirve by mistake by dragging 10meg upgrade files to the wrong directory. Sometimes they don't seem to go where you tell them in winbox. Look in files to see maybe. Also can you remove unused packages?

Everything is empty, at least areas I can see. Is there some hidden file area that is only accessible using the secret handshake? Being that this is on a PC with a Gb drive it should not be full. I even checked proxies and dns cache. Both are empty.

Was this good when it was first setup? Sounds like the bios might be wrong. Don't know of any secret files! I'm still using an old 48meg flash from WISPCON 2 on my oldest router. Tight but it works.

BTW, N4HHA here.

Guess I'll have to take a look at that next time I am down there. I have been able to back it up before. The only difference now is that I have 3 interfaces instead of two but that shouldn't make any difference to the system.
