Hi guys,

today we installed our first rb2011LS with sfp module.
We have a problem getting L1 up on sfp and the switch.

The routerboard is connected to a switch with identical sfp, we tested three different kind of coupple of sfp, but the problem is the same.
Everything is fisically fine because we tested everything with loops.
But some config on rb+switch doesn’t let the routerboard to get L1 up on sfp module.

The first thing i did was to disable the autonegotiation on SFP port on RB, after this i got the LINK UP only on the rb side and not on the switch side.
In this case the RB send packets but doesn’t receive anything.

On the switch i tried to disable autonegotiation too but i was not able to get the link on the switch.

Any help is welcome.

we use Korenix Switch JetNet 6524G and this give us the problem about L1 on sfp.

We tested a switch Netgear GSM7224 and using this everything looks good.

The korenix is working fine with all other sfp appliance that we have in production.

So has someone an idea on what could be the problem?
