2 PPPOE client sessions on one WAN connection?

Wed Apr 11, 2012 4:06 pm

I have one DSL cabel with one modem, but I need to run two pppoe client sessions parallel. At the moment there is a vigor modem/router with the first pppoe acoount, behind the vigor the mikrotik handels the second pppoe (the vigor is able to passthrough pppoe).
I want to configure both of the pppoe clients on the mikrotik. I try it, but without success - only one session will work at the same time.
Is it possible someway?

HI

I am trying to do the same thing. Now, adding a 2nd pppoe session changes the routing table and no websites work behind the switch.

I need 2 sessions because my ISP has 2 separate dedicated logins, one for internet service, one for IPTV

How can I make it so Mikrotik is setup like this:

Port 1- WAN
Port 2- NAT + PPPoE session 1 (internet)
Port 3- NAT + PPPoE session 2 (iptv)
Port 4- Not used
Port 5- Not used

Anyone knows? Thank you

check ur routes im guessing
perhaps a default route is overriding the access to the other modem?

Will mikrotik support help with configurations in the first 30 days if I have a v4 license?

if i'm guessing right, you successfully get the second PPPoE to dial and connect so i'm gonna assume that to be true

The PPPoE that you use for your IPtv, just tell it not to put a default route in the routing table, that way only the internet PPPoE has a default route and they won't conflict

Then just manually route your IPtv through the IPtv link
