RB750GL Port Based VLAN and multiple DHCP

Wed Jun 27, 2012 12:32 pm

Hi,
I just got my RB750GL and can't get VLAN and DHCP running.
I'm new to RouterOS but not networking. Forum search got me to this topic http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=37926.
VLAN 10+20+30+40 should be able to access the internet, but there shouldn't be inter VLAN Routing between them.
After I created the VLAN's on Ether1 I can't figure out how to bridge them to the ports.

My second problem is to assign different DHCP networks to differnt Ports. Forum search didn't help.

Many thanks in advance!!!

There is no need to use VLANs in this scenario.

Remove the master setting on ports 3-5 and then add a dhcp server to interfaces 2-5

You can stop traffic between subnets by allowing traffic to/from eth1 and dropping the rest.

Yeah, you do not need to use VLAN's in your scenario. VLANs would make sense you wanted to do routing in 750 and connect multiple managed switches to single 750 port.
