configure UPnP/MSN video chat

Sun Mar 19, 2006 12:55 pm

What do we have to configure to make UPnP work? We have a Mikrotik for routing, Routing boards for APs. One debian/linux server does the NATting (And has our public IP). We have assigned the lowest priority to ports 2000-2020/etc.

How can we force the MSN to avoid using the MSN relay service in USA/etc? When we torched the user making video-chat, it didn't use more than 30-35kbit/s, altough we had enough in/outgoing bandwidth. The other partner had ADSL connection, so he had direct public IP, so direct connection is possible (if the connection is requested by the partner behind NAT of course).

Any other idea making this s..t work?

How can I enable the UPNP in the network?? UPNP is properly running on the NATting server (GNU/Debian). I've downloaded several UPNP tester on my windows client. They can't detect my UPNP, either. I think that my network doesn't forward the required multicast packets. Does mikrotik filter multicast packets by default?
