ROUTING PROTOCOL AND REDUNDANCY CONFIG GUIDE

Fri Jul 20, 2012 4:55 pm

:) Hi ,

i'm still pretty new to mikrotik, can anybody advice or have a configuration guide of how to configure routing protocol and HA for the below setup and requirement;

Requirement
1 OSPF / BGP between Core router
2 . Redudancy between local switch and 2 Mikrotik
3. Vlan trunk between CPE to Mikrotik
4 . Sub interface created at router ( redudancy required )
5 Management OAM on CPE is 2000
6. Service Vlan will be 1000 – 1499
7 . Voice Vlan will be 1500
8 Voice VLAN DHCP will be provided by VOIP Server
9 VOIP server and MT is pointing to MT as gateway with Sub interface

and refer to the attached network diagram.

1) ok so i would recomend OSPF as it handles ECMPR better, (some form of load balancing) (although u can get away with bgp-mpls as well.)
2) VRRP
3) Vlan
4) not sure what you mean

Not sure about the sub, further than that, if you read the following manuals
1)ospf
2)vrrp
3)vlan

then you will be sorted.

regards

Whats the point of the two "mt routers" connected to the 1100 with a 50m connection to your core switch? Is that a redundant wireless link? And the unlabled routers? Are they like building distrubion? Maybe switches?
