Lost Bandwidth between WAN and PPTP tunnel

Tue Aug 07, 2012 6:16 am

Hello

We are having an issue with a PPTP tunnel on a specific wireless ISP's circuit. Basically when sending a video stream to an rb1200 on this link, we lose bandwidth from the wan to the pptp tunnel for some reason. Then from the EOIP to the Ethernet port there is more bandwidth lost. We have the same exact setup to a bunch of other sites, and have never seen this issue. We have even switched out the router and see the same issue. So to me this has to be something with the isp, and them filtering out something. I just need to know what it is they are doing to cause it. Attached is a screen shot of the interfaces and the bandwidth loss. Appreciate the help.

EOIP and Eth1 are bridged

So Im posting this for others that might run into this problem. Actually fixed this by downgrading to v5.2. Seems there's a bug somewhere between 5.2 and 5.16. I didnt waste time trying to narrow it down, as ive spend two long days trying to figure out the problem...lol hope this helps someone save some time in the future. GL
