smtp deny policy

Sun Mar 26, 2006 7:33 am

i was trying some filter policys on my mikrotik v2.9.17.
If i rember correctly it was deny smtp (25) on incoming interface...

anyways after i applied that policy i cannot connect to the router remotly, the router is still running and routing traffic, but i am unable to connect remotly or ping or telnet. i tried mac telnet but it will not connect same as ssh which i left on for security, telnet and web are disabled by default for security also.

i really hope there is an easy solution, the router is 3 hours away and im not due to service for 7 more days.

thanks

sounds like you might have applied a deny all rule.. you might have to serial into the MT.

its best to use the safe mode feature when applying deny rules.. its easy to forget to check a box or check the wrong box in winbox.
